Welcome to Grant Warehouse
It is our pleasure to welcome you to Grant Warehouse.
Hello and Welcome to Grant Warehouse!
My name is Kimberly Guetersloh, and I’m the founder/CEO of Grant Warehouse. It’s my pleasure to welcome you to Grant Warehouse.
For decades, I researched and wrote grants. My grant writing started from necessity. I worked at a senior center, and we never had funding for anything “extra”. When the copier died, the staff had the responsibility of holding a fund raiser to purchase a new one. Historically, we held fund raisers (e.g. chili suppers) but rarely netted more than a couple hundred bucks. There had to be an easier way to access supplemental funding.
One day, I was speaking with an SIU professor, and he asked if I had ever considered grants. I’d never given thought to grants but had heard the horror stories. None-the-less, I decided to do some grant research, after all, what could it hurt? I made my way to the SIU Library and found the section containing grant resources. To my amazement, I found several that fit perfectly. The grants I found were easy to write and submit. In a few weeks we received a congratulatory letter, along with a $200 check. I was hooked on-grants. Over the decades, my grant writing efforts have brought millions to the southernmost region of Illinois.
Over the years, I made many trips to research grants. This was BC (Before Computers) so the process was very clunky. I tracked all pertinent info in notebooks. After computers/Internet became staples of life, I started saving grants electronically. My dream was to compile the information into a web-based grant research site that was not only user-friendly, but affordable.
Small non-profits, community and religious organizations, etc. provide many great services, often with little to no funding. These organizations could do so much more with just a few more monetary resources. There are governmental services to assist small businesses/ entrepreneurs, but few to no resources to help ensure the success of non-profits. One of our goals is to “help organizations understand how grants can assist with their sustainability and future growth”
The focus of Grant Warehouse is on smaller organizations; but we haven’t forgotten those that are larger entities. We’ve resourced thousands of grants for larger organizations but have maintained a focus on our targeted organizations. GW currently has more than 10,000 grants in the system, and hundreds are added monthly. Upon request, we conduct a search to locate a grants to match your organization’s needs.
Most services, resources, and supports are included with our Basic Plan of $13.99. This includes a basic grant writing class for those with little experience/knowledge of grants. If subscribers have questions about any aspect of grant writing, they can reach out to us and we will happily assist.
Thanks again,
Kimberly Guetersloh, CEO & Founder
